After our time on Maui, we headed over to the Four Seasons on the Big Island for some rest & relaxation. We instantly fell in love with the Four Seasons, so much in fact that we hardly left the property! Rarely will you find me spending this much time at a resort when I’m traveling, but they have so much to offer you don’t need to leave! Here’s just a few of the amazing amenities that I loved about the resort.

  • – Swim-up bar at the adults only infinity pool has delicious shaved ice cocktails
  • – Champagne picnics at sunset every night
  • – Beach BBQs every Saturday night
  • – Fantastic rooftop Sushi restaurant with ocean views
  • – Beautiful salt water pool with thousands of fish for snorkeling
  • – Sting Ray feedings every afternoon
  • – Comfy two-person beach chairs to watch sea turtles playing in the waves at your feet
  • – Super cute boutique where you can pick up anything you might have forgotten to pack
  • – Luxury spa lined with waterfalls where you can make your own lotions & perfumes
  • – Restaurants and bars directly on the sand, overlooking the ocean that they light up at night. All of the restaurants use delicious local ingredients and have live music nightly.
  • – Fire pits and chairs on the sand for you to enjoy drinks before or after dinner
  • – Hourly amenities offered by the pool, everything from fruit skewers & cold mint towels to sunglass cleaning, sunscreen, & aloe vera!
  • – An array of beach activities including stand-up paddle boarding, snorkeling, tennis, ping-pong, corn hole & more! Do as much or as little as you would like!

Sometimes, with resorts as large as this one, guests can feel overwhelmed, but not here. The resort is spread out along the beach so it doesn’t feel very crowded, and feels more like a smaller boutique hotel. It has the feel of a small & intimate resort but with all of the amenities of a larger one. To be honest, words and pictures don’t do it justice! You’ll just have to go visit for yourself!

Isn’t this place so amazing?! We just loved it! I’m dreaming I was there right now!

[...] Their blog post,  includes descriptive photos and tells a story of a memorable honeymoon! Andy S. from San Francisco wrote this post on Yelp about his honeymoon:   This resort is the most amazing resort I have stayed at on any of the Hawaiian Islands.  Immaculately groomed grounds, incredible layout, and a gorgeous ocean front setting.  Words just don’t do it justice. This was the final leg of 3 stops on 3 islands for our honeymoon, and it was a perfect grand finale.  Of course there is a price to pay for all of this, and it is definitely the most expensive resort I have stayed at as well.  But I don’t feel the least bit abused by the price tag for what we received.  Every meal was excellent, every drink was tasty, and every service and staff interaction was professional and exceeded all expectations.  No matter what your occasion, this location will exceed your expectations and you will never forget the amazing time you spent there. The location is conveniently about 8 miles from the airport, and about 20 minutes from Kailua if you feel like escaping the resort (though there is no real need to do so…).  This is on the hotter ‘dry’ side of the Big Island- we didn’t see a drop of rain while we were there.  There are at least 3 pools which were warmed to about 80+ degrees or more, and at least one featured a swim-up bar (my favorite!).  There is a wave-sheltered ocean swim area which has been interestingly blasted into the lava-rock which rolls into the ocean, and almost looks natural.  There are turtles all over the place, some crawl up on the beach as if they are waiting for cocktail service.  The restaurants feature dramatic ocean & sunset views.  There is an amazing golf course (we did not play) which wraps around everything…   Filed Under: Tell Us Your Story Tagged With: Big Island weddings, Destination weddings, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Four Seasons Weddings, Hawaii weddings, honeymoon [...]
