Fall is officially upon us and to celebrate I’m sharing The Siam Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok is one of the best places to visit in November because of the great weather ranging from 70′s to 80′s, and it isn’t humid like most other months of the year.

The Siam Hotel is extraordinary with gorgeous art deco styling, one of kind architecture and views of the Chao Praya River right outside. Being one of the newest boutique hotels in the area it offers a variety of suite options from river views to rooftop decks. Of course Bangkok has plenty to explore, but onsite you can enjoy many cultural activities like yoga, tai chi, thai cooking classes and a a cruise on the hotel’s speedboat. This hotel truly prides itself in its rich history and dedication to excellent service. The entire property is just beautiful – take a look for yourself!

Just got back from a 2 week Myanmar (Burma) & Thailand honeymoon. Would 100% recommend the week in Bagan & Inle Lake Myanmar over neighboring Thailand (Phuket/Krabi/Chang Mai/Bangkok). Such an incredible experience in a lesser explored area of the world. Would definitely recommend visiting now before it gets flooded with outside tourism which is sure to happen.

Happy Leap Day! I’m really looking forward to fun wedding industry parties the next couple nights, starting with the Utterly Engaged Leap Year Party tonight!  Then tomorrow is The Cream Event, which will be featuring a number of amazing vendors in the wedding industry.  I am really honored to be included!

As I am rushing around today to get through my mile long to do list, these pictures of the pools at Ubud Hanging Gardens Hotel made me pause.  Just look at that view!  I am constantly blown away by the pictures clients send from their honeymoons in Bali, and am hoping to visit there myself very soon!  Anyone else wishing they were soaking in that pool right now?

Oh. My. Goodness. I SO want to be at this pool right now! How in the world do you find these amazing places?! It was so great meeting you last night!

Prior to going to Thailand, I was most looking forward to getting to ride elephants, and this was definitely a highlight of the trip!  We went to Maetaman Elephant Camp where we rode elephants and then went on a bamboo raft down the river.

There are many places in Chiang Mai where you can ride elephants, but we chose to go here because they have a really long trail and you also go through the river.

On the way back we stopped to see the 3 week old baby elephant with it’s mom!  SO CUTE!!!

After that we took a ride down the river on a bamboo raft.  It was so beautiful and peaceful on the water!

I  highly recommend a day at Maetaman Elephant Camp for anyone visiting Chiang Mai!

Another highlight of my time in Chiang Mai was the elephants!  We went to Maesa Elephant Camp where we fed elephants bananas and sugar cane and took pictures with them.  Here I am getting lots of love from a few very friendly elephants!

Then it was bath time.  They were so cute all splashing around in the river!

After that was the show where they danced, played soccer, and threw darts.

The best part was watching them paint!  It was so amazing to watch- they were so precise with every stroke!

Here are the finished products!  You could buy the paintings after they were done.  I would definitely recommend a visit to Maesa Elephant Camp to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.  Next up is our day riding elephants!

Mark & Mindy are foodies who were determined to honeymoon in a place where they could get sand, sun, culture, & wildlife- a honeymoon escape in Bali was just the ticket. The two stayed at Uma Sapna Villas and the Kayana Villas in Seminyak and ended their trip in Ubud at Komaneka at Bisma.

In Seminyak, Mark & Mindy loved the beaches and array of resturants, while in Ubud they indulged in the serenity of the mountains, the art, and the vast opportunities for adventure that lay at their fingertips. The two went river-rafting, elephant trekking, walking in the monkey forest, and even took a cooking class all in Ubud!

Their favorite memory of their trip was picking out art for their new home at a local gallery. A wonderfully knowledgeable guide from the hotel took them to a boutique gallery, away from the tourist hot spots, where they walked around for hours looking at all of the different pieces. What a wonderful souvenir to bring back and have as a daily reminder of such a fabulous vacation!
